Healed of debiliating back pain
At one time I was having trouble with my back; I couldn't sit, stand, walk or lie down without being in a great deal of pain. As usual the painkillers didn't work. The doctor gave me sessions with a physiotherapist. What a character! I had never seen him before but when I walked in and sat down, he looked at me, looked at his notes and said 'Hopeless case, dreadful posture, don't know what we can do here!' It was his sense of humour, and much appreciated at the time as it lightened the mood. One day as I sat there I prayed, 'Lord please heal me so that this lovely man may know that you still work in people's lives today' and then I promptly forgot about it. A few days later I was asked by a lady who I didn't even know to go to a concert in Nottingham. She put my friend and I up for the night and the next day she took us to a Messianic meeting held in a school. At this meeting there were about fifteen people and the usual leader of the meeting was away. For some reason I had been looking forward to this meeting with much anticipation, but I had no idea why. At the beginning of the meeting someone stood up and said that he believed that the Lord wanted to heal some people in the congregation, and would any of us like to come forward. Apparently this was not the 'norm' at their meetings, in fact I was told that this was the first time that it had ever happened. I went to the front with one or two others. I asked the man to pray for my back to be healed. To my surprise he asked if he could pray for my legs instead, explaining that back pain is often caused by the difference in leg length. Then he asked me if I wanted to be shorter or taller. At 4ft 10ins I said 'Taller please'. I sat on the chair facing the front and closed my eyes, but was told to open them and see what God would do. As I watched, the one leg grew to match the other. I was wearing black leggings at the time, and saw three definite 'ripples' go across the right leg, like a child drawing a wave on the sea, and I felt my bone etc. extend, but it didn't hurt. As my back was now healed, I visited the physio, told him what had happened, and asked if he could see any difference. He asked me to touch my toes and get up on the couch, which was usually an impossibility, but this time I leapt on to it and did various exercises as requested, after which he said that he didn't need to see me again, surprise, surprise!
